We did it! Total walking time was 13.5 hours and we drove/stopped for food a total of14.5 hours.
It was probably the hardest thing I have ever done! We nearly did not get started due to Failed Plane Take offs, not having the correct documents to get the hire car and having to start 8 hours late without a support crew!
Difficulties along the way included running out of water on Ben Nevis, feeling very dizzy and nauseous at the top in cloud and snow and not having enough torches to start Scafell Pike at 3am!
From the half way point of the Ben Nevis assent every step created pain. Going up it was in Calf and Quad muscles and going down it was pressure on knees and ankles. I prepared for this challenge but in the end I was nowhere near prepared enough!
It would a fabulous experience and one which I will never ever forget. The views were amazing and the feeling of trying to succeed against all odds for a great cause made it all completely worth while.
Thanks to everyone who supported us along the way.

I will be taking part in the 3 Peaks Challenge in June and I would love to get your support in my aim to raise £450, the cost of a days care for a life limited child at the Acorns Childrens Hospice. I will hopefully climb, along with my team mates;
- Ben Nevis (Scotland - 1344m)
- Scafell Pike (England - 978m)
- Snowdon (Wales - 1085m)
As a Holte End season ticket holder I am proud that Aston Villa started a new trend of supporting local charities by donating their most prime piece of advertising space.
By supporting these initiatives more clubs will hopefully follow suit and help change some of the negative perceptions surrounding the game that many enjoy playing and watching.
It's a massive challenge but one that will hopefully be enjoyable. If I manage to raise £450 in the very short time scale I will be both amazed and proud! As part of my team fund raising I have offered to wear a shirt of the most generous donators choice on the top of Ben Nevis. I have not ruled out this being a Birmingham City, Manchester United or a Liverpool replica shirt. This could be a life changing experience!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Acorns Children's Hospice Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. Please remember to tick the gift aid box!
So please sponsor me now, even if it is as little as one pound!
